Due to a bothersome knee injury I have decided to place my larger girls in new homes. There will be a small rehome fee to insure they go to good homes. Email me (EMAIL ONLY) if you are interested and tell me about yourself. victorianpawprints@gmail.com
When adopting an adult dog you need to take a few things into consideration. Adult dogs have been settled in their previous home and have learned the way things are handled in that home. Your home will be totally different and so, while making their transition, they will need patience and understanding. Nothing destresses me more than for someone adopting an adult immediately calling me to tell me how they won't do 'this or that' right after they get to their new home. It takes 2-3 weeks for an adult dog to even get comfortable to all the new people, smells, and their new surroundings in order to feel safe so they can understand exactly what you want them to do. If you are not willing or able to do this then you don't need to adopt an adult. I will do my best to tell you about each dog so you can understand what her behavior will be but it is almost impossible to know exactly what their reactions will be upon arrival. Thanks, Kristen
Checkers is a 3 1/2 yr old female, Blue Merle, Standard Poodle approx. 55 lbs. She is flashy and gorgeous and she knows it! She loves walks and is great on the leash. She is housetrained but does stay in a crate at night. Friendly w/ everyone.
